OUR STORY
Vidyapath is a charity based in the UK working to provide qualitative education to the underprivileged children in India. The name is derived from Sanskrit, where Vidya means knowledge and path (pronounced “puth”) means the path.

Growing up with the right to an education is unfortunately not a privilege for many. What is worse is that, instead, many of these young children work as labourers or turn to begging. In our attempt to find a solution to bring about permanent change for these children, beyond donating just a meal or clothes, was what led to the creation of Vidyapath.

Vidyapath’s co-founders, Pooja and Shivani, who spent their childhood in India before moving to the UK, shared a common desire to help and give back by way of supporting education for these underprivileged children. And what started as a conversation around a kitchen table in 2016 is, today, Vidyapath.

WE BELIEVE
Education opens minds and unlocks the door of opportunity, of social mobility and breaks the vicious cycle of poverty. Hence, we strive to provide quality education for all in India.
